Coming back to New York was a hard transition to make after eight days of consecutive sunshine and caipirinhas. Suddenly, we needed to fall back in love with fur statement jackets and booties. So, we decided to make a stop at The Shoe Box at the Americana in Manhasset, Long Island. The Shoe Box is a curated store that sells both clothing and accessories including bags, shoes and jewelry. The staff is extremely helpful and will help you put together full outfits effortlessly. We both decided to pick a pair of shoes and center around an entire look that fit the vibe of whichever pair of shoes we chose.
There are so many dope shoes to pick from at The Shoe Box at the Americana that it can be a bit overwhelming. They have everything from Alexander McQueen to Kendall and Kylie. I looked around the store and instantly wanted to create looks for so many different styles, but then I saw these Marc Fisher Yalyn booties. Ugh, Amazing. The leather booties from Marc Fisher feature silver studded stars on the side and a pointed toe. They are so comfortable and just feel so expensive (currently $150). I paired it with this Rebecca Minkoff envelope clutch with stud and zipper details.
For my outfit, I really wanted to keep with the cool laid back vibe that I got from the booties. I found this green silk bomber jacket from Lauren Moshi with gold piping and gold stars embroidered that I absolutely fell in love with. I usually have a hard time finding jackets to fit me because I have a smaller upper body, but this bomber jacket has a nice slim fit. My white distressed tee is from Nation LTD and my leather pants are from ONE x ONE TEASPOON.
Here’s a closeup to show the details of my distressed tee and bomber jacket.

When I was shopping at The Shoe Box, I knew that I wanted to choose a pair of shoes that made a statement on their own. I was stuck between a few velvet booties, but then I saw these metallic oxfords from Stuart Weitzman. I have to say, they are pretty uncomfortable, but they are shoes that will get you noticed anywhere. I paired the shoes with a black bag with silver studs from Rebecca Minkoff.
I originally was going to keep the look simple so that the shoes would stand out… but then I saw this coat. This blush and black spotted coat is from the British label, Shrimps. It is definitely pricey ($635) but is so unique and nothing like we’ve ever seen before. There are two multicolored rhinestone brooches on the side of the coat which brought out the metallics of the oxfords I was wearing. I kept it simple with a black bodysuit from Mystique underneath.
My jeans are from BLANKNYC and have a zipper detail running down the sides. This look was all sorts of fun and I recommend similar styling to anyone that wants to get noticed.
