We had the most magical night last night at the Alice & Olivia Cruise 2017 preview hosted with Julien Farel. The event was in support of the GOOD+ Foundation which is a non-profit organization that is trying to break the cycle of family poverty through donations.
The entire collection was sparkly, over the top and everything we hoped for. We tried on a bunch of dresses (pictured above) and let’s just say that they were all statement dresses. Every dress either had embroidery, sequins or many, many frills. Alice and Olivia is definitely following the ‘more is more’ trend that’s happening right now. And we’re completely fine with it.
Here’s a close up shot of some of the quirky and adorable accessories that Alice and Olivia is known for. It is literally impossible to go unnoticed when you wear anything Alice and Olivia. The statement platform carries the same embroidery that a lot of the clothes had. We think these platforms would pair perfectly with a little black dress for a fun touch. And that sweater. so fun. Alice and Olivia somehow always manages to find a way to make something so silly, so fashionable.
Another close up shot of one of our favorite pieces from Alice and Olivia’s accessory line. This clutch is our choice for New Year’s Eve.
Ahhhhhhh. These pants though!!! These flare jeans were definitely one of our favorite pieces from the collection. How fun are they?? All you need is a simple black tank top and black booties and you are set.
When we found out that Alice and Olivia had a capsule collection dedicated to Basquiat, we died. Basquiat is one of our favorite artists and a capsule collection by Alice and Olivia makes complete sense to us. Basquiat’s urban modern art makes for the perfect print and we loved all of the pieces Alice and Olivia made. It was such a risk to do a capsule collection that would capture Basquiat’s talent, but we really do believe that this capsule collection did an amazing job. This jacket was our favorite piece from the capsule collection and it is simple just art. You will never find a leather jacket like this anywhere else.
Another pick of ours is this fur jacket that came in olive, pink, cobalt blue and beige. Fur is not really our thing, but this was definitely inspo to find a faux version somewhere else. This jacket is so much fun and is on trend for this winter. It was definitely a common favorite amongst all of the other bloggers at the event too.
This cruise collection gave us a renewed excitement to dress for this winter. We are now on the hunt for everything sequined and quirky. Can’t wait to show you our finds! Thank you Alice and Olivia.
