Firstly, we wanted to wish all of our readers a happy Thanksgiving! This year we both reflected on how thankful we are for all of the support that we’ve received. This blog was originally just one of many long conversations on the LIRR. We never thought that it would actually come to fruition because of our nerves and doubts. Luckily, we decided to suppress our negativity and chose to become doers instead of sayers. The support that we’ve received is already so much more than what we expected…
What we’re trying to say is thank you for not only watching us grow, but for helping us flourish.
What we’re trying to say is that we have a huge crush on all of you guys, so now that y’all know, let’s talk about clothes.
We both had recently bought statement pieces that we knew we wanted to shoot as soon as possible. Both of the statement pieces came from boutiques on Long Island, so we decided to shoot in Garden City. We found this sick church with a washed out exterior and this grandiose wooden door. We never realized how many old churches are in the Garden City/Hempstead area and we cannot wait until we shoot here again.
The statement piece that I centered my look around is a leather overall dress from Twenty5A. This vegan leather overall dress has silver hardware details on the straps and a form fitting skirt. This piece itself is really versatile and can be dressed up or dressed down. I decided to pair the dress with an oversize gray knit sweater from Forever 21, so the look became more casual. I wore my new leather booties from Vince Camuto and kept my hair simple with a half up half down look. I just got bayalage done at Iris salon in seaford and loved how the look showed off the highlight technique.

I knew I wanted to center my look around this new oversized denim jacket that I stole from Sam’s closet from Ruby and Jenna. The jacket is extremely oversized and has ripped details all throughout it. I paired it with this black simple shift dress from ASOS that is the same length of the jacket. Since the look was super simple, I dressed it up with my black suede sock booties from Vince Camuto and a thick lace choker from Ruby and Jenna.
